Youth Volunteer Position

The Youth Volunteer program at the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary provides young individuals with an excellent opportunity to gain experience, develop valuable skills, and give back to their community. Youth volunteers can contribute in a variety of ways, including assisting at the Thrift Store, helping with fundraising events, supporting community programs, and participating in special projects. This role is perfect for high school students looking to complete volunteer hours, build their resumes, or explore potential career paths in healthcare, retail, or community service. Through their efforts, youth volunteers not only help sustain important health and wellness initiatives but also learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and social engagement.

Beyond the hands-on tasks, youth volunteers benefit from mentorship and training, ensuring they feel confident in their roles. They have the chance to work alongside experienced volunteers and community members, gaining insight into the impact of volunteer work on local healthcare services. Volunteering with the Auxiliary is also a great way for young people to make new friends, enhance their leadership skills, and foster a sense of civic duty. Whether they are organizing merchandise at the Thrift Store, assisting with events, or providing support to various programs, youth volunteers play an essential role in strengthening the Auxiliary’s mission while developing life skills that will serve them well into the future.
