The Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is proud to support local programs that promote the health and well-being of children, youth, and families in our community. Through our Youth and Family Health Support Initiatives, we provide funding to non-profit organizations and registered charities working to improve access to services, foster wellness, and build a healthier future for young people and their families.

Community Spotlight Ladysmith Resources Centre Association
Every community has a place where people know they can turn when they need a helping hand. For Ladysmith, that place is the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association.
For more than 30 years, the LRCA has been enriching lives through programs and partnerships that support individuals and families at every stage of life. From helping parents build strong foundations with their children through Early Literacy, Mother Goose and Dads Drop-In, to bringing neighbours together through the Community Kitchen and providing vital transportation services, the LRCA creates opportunities for people to connect, grow and thrive. Its work reaches far beyond a single program; it strengthens the fabric of our entire community.
This year, the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is honoured to award a grant of $32,000 to help sustain these important programs. The grant will support staffing, program supplies and the essential coordination needed to ensure these services remain accessible to the individuals and families who rely on them every day.
As the cost of delivering community programs continues to rise, partnerships like these become even more important. Together, we can help ensure these welcoming, low-barrier programs continue to support children, families, seniors and neighbours throughout our community.

Community Giving Building for Tomorrow
The Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is proud to provide a $40,000 grant to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island in support of the fundraising campaign to build Jesse’s House.
Jeneece Place has long provided a home away from home for families who must travel to Victoria while their children receive medical care. Jesse’s House will expand that circle of care, giving more Island families a safe, welcoming place to stay close to their loved ones during some of life’s most difficult moments.
This grant is possible because of the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and every customer who shops at the LHCA Thrift Store. Together, our community is helping build something that will support Island children and families for years to come.
