Youth and Family Health Support Initiatives

The Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is proud to support local programs that promote the health and well-being of children, youth, and families in our community. Through our Youth and Family Health Support Initiatives, we provide funding to non-profit organizations and registered charities working to improve access to services, foster wellness, and build a healthier future for young people and their families.

Donation of $40,000 to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island

We are incredibly proud to share a recent donation of $40,000 to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island in support of their fundraising efforts for Jesse’s House.

While Jeneece Place continues to provide a warm and welcoming home-away-from-home for families traveling for their children’s medical care, Jesse’s House represents the next step—expanding that care and ensuring even more families have a place to stay in Nanaimo during some of life’s most challenging moments.

This donation is made possible through the continued support of our amazing community—our volunteers, donors, and shoppers—who help turn everyday acts of giving into meaningful care for others.

Together, we are proud to support initiatives that bring comfort, compassion, and connection to families across Vancouver Island.
