Healthcare Equipment & Improvements

One of the core priorities of the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is ensuring that local healthcare providers have access to the tools and resources they need to deliver high-quality care. The Healthcare Equipment & Improvements grant supports the purchase of medical equipment, facility upgrades, and other infrastructure enhancements that directly benefit patients and improve healthcare delivery in our community.

Making Waves for a Safer Community

The Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is proud to award a $4,000 grant to the Ladysmith Maritime Society for marine first-aid training and an Automated External Defibrillator, commonly known as an AED.

The Society’s harbour tours showcase the beauty of Ladysmith Harbour and share our community’s rich maritime history. This grant will help ensure safety remains at the heart of that experience by giving staff and volunteers the training and equipment needed to respond quickly and confidently in an emergency.

Congratulations to the Ladysmith Maritime Society, and thank you for the wonderful work you do to celebrate and protect our waterfront community.

Supporting Local Health Care in Our Community

The Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is proud to present a grant of $59,615.40 to the Ladysmith Community Health Centre to assist with the purchase of much-needed medical equipment.

We were delighted to gather for a cheque presentation on Friday, February 27, 2026, celebrating another example of what community support can achieve when we work together.

The Ladysmith Community Health Centre provides essential services and care for so many members of our community, and the Auxiliary is always grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the work they do.

Grants like this are made possible through the continued support of our volunteers, donors, and customers at the LHCA Thrift Store. Every donation dropped off and every treasure discovered on our shelves helps us give back to local health care.

Together, we are making a difference.
