Community Health & Wellness Programs

At the heart of the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary is a belief in proactive, community-based care. Through our Community Health & Wellness Programs grant stream, we support local initiatives that foster physical, mental, and emotional well-being across all ages and backgrounds. From preventative health education to outreach initiatives and inclusive wellness programming, this funding helps create a healthier, more connected community.

Community Donations Turned Into Community Care

Yesterday was a heartwarming day for our Auxiliary as we presented a $20,000 donation to Cowichan Valley Youth Services in support of their R.I.S.E. program.

Even with the snow falling around us, the moment felt warm and full of hope as we gathered together for a group photo with their entire team. Seeing so many dedicated staff members in one place was a powerful reminder that behind every program are passionate people working every day to support and uplift youth in our communities.

Cowichan Valley Youth Services provides vital programs, counselling, and support that help young people navigate challenges, build confidence, and move toward brighter futures. Their work creates safe spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and empowered.

At the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary, we believe that when communities support their youth, they are investing in the future of us all.

We are grateful to play a small part in helping this incredible organization continue their important work.

If you’d like to learn more about the amazing work being done for youth in our region, we encourage you to visit cvyouth.ca and see how this organization is making a difference every day.
