Ruth Goodbody
I have been with the LHCA Executive Board since 2018, fulfilling the roles of Corresponding Secretary, Vice-President, Building Expansion Committee member, President, and Past President.
In my previous life, my husband, Q (a retired oil & gas Geologist), and our two children lived internationally in Ecuador, Malaysia, Scotland, and Colombia. These cultural experiences set the foundation for the completion of my RRU Master’s in Intercultural Communication. Upon returning to Canada, I taught online Continuing Education courses in Adult Learning through the University of Calgary for over 15 years.
I look forward to a fruitful year as President, and I hope to draw together the amazing talents, skills, and diverse expertise of such a dynamic group of executive board members.
Aside from Board duties, I enjoy my regular Tuesday afternoon receiving shifts, as well as the quirky fun of pricing items in our "middle room." Life in Ladysmith is darn good! I love family, hiking, swimming in the ocean, baking and cooking – and yoga on Monday mornings. Plus – volunteering for this wonderful organization!
