Eithne Reichert
I have been volunteering with the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary since 2018. Now retired, my husband Jeff and I moved from Saskatoon in 2016, where I was actively involved in my own healthcare consulting practice after many years as a Registered Nurse.
I have been the Corresponding Secretary (I loved the Donation Request work, which has been renamed Grant Requests), after which I became Vice-President, then President for the last two years. I am so glad to have worked with such a strong executive and management team. I volunteer regular shifts in receiving (for my workout!) and sort the culled baby items for LAFF and other organizations, as well as sort through and direct medical and health care equipment that gets donated.
I love family (I am finally a new grandmother!), sailing, sewing, hiking, knitting, healthy living, and meeting new people! I enjoy being of service to our new community and am gratified that monies can be provided to support health care in our surrounding communities.
